Why I built it

From the field to the platform

I have done biological fieldwork since 2013, including nine years at Arcadis directing avian compliance on infrastructure and energy projects, along with Golden-cheeked Warbler research, nest monitoring, and desert tortoise clearance and construction monitoring.

I built my first computer when I was 15, and I still love exploring how biology, AI and new technology can make fieldwork more useful. FledgePoint is where those two sides meet: tools that follow the everyday steps of survey work, with illustrated guides that make the science easy to learn in the field and easy to explain to a crew.

    Survey photo apps, starting with Nestmark™ for nesting bird surveys (coming soon).

    Everyday field tools: exact coordinates with Field Pin and weather records with Weathermate.

  3. Report it

    Coming soon: field photos that flow into a numbered photo log and a Word survey record.
